These beautiful little amount of dunes (comparing to others of course) are something very special to see in Morocco. The surrounding landscapes of the Draa Valley makes this place a unforgettable one to your eyes.
Tinfou is also called as the dunes of the “gold sand”, opposite to Merzouga dunes to be “dunes of the orange sand”, their gold colour makes them very beautiful to see. You can just climb the big dune and enjoy the scenery. Some local people will offer you their service of cruising around the dunes in a dromedary, drinking tea inside a tent before you actually climb the dunes. This is actually what this is after all: A Dune. Just One. But a hell of a beautiful one.
These dunes are located where the Draa gets a bit more dryer than the usual and all the way to Mhamid get a bit more warmer.
Directions: 19 km from Tamegroute and 29km from Zagora
